You need the corresponding CUE files. They are disk images, in Nero do a File/Burn Image...and open the CUE.

If you don't have the CUE (shame on you, they are less than 1k each), do a WWW search for re-building missing CUE files. It's not hard for data disks, but video disks can be problemmatic.

actually, i believe any .cue file will work.
all you need to do is just rename it so that it matches the .bin name except is .cue

if you cant find one anywhere, let me know ill host one.

    they are really small.

  4. I have the cue files, what i want to know is how do i get them to dvdr if they are in this form.

  5. They are CD images, not DVD. You can extract the mpegs from them using isobuster and go from there.

Daemon Tools will mount the image, and you can work from there. Extract the MPEG's and follow the SVCD2DVD guide (basically 48 Khz audio is the difference).

  7. Or get a program called burn at once.

Open the prog click on MASTERING / DATA CD / add tour mpeg file
    and burn away.

If you use isobuster to open the bin file you only need to open the mpeg
folder of the bin and then right click on the file and choose extract using mpeg streams only and then use burn at once as above.

  8. burn at once doesnt recognise my pioneer 105
im trying to use dvdlab, i have gone all the way through the tutorial only to get this message right near the end : 'the menu menu 1 has no buttons and infinity timeout' 'the first play links to it-this will lock up player'
    what is it talking about?

  9. Shame about burn at once not recognizing your ao5.

I would use isobuster to open the bin file like this,

load the bin image into isobuster and open the image file, you should see 3 folders EXT,SVCD and MPEG.

Select the mpeg folder and then right click and choose the option
EXTRACT BUT FILTER MPGEG STREAMS ONLY.

Save this to a folder of your choice.

Then get a program called VCDEASY there is still a freeware version available for download i t's version 1.4 something or other.

When you have it installed set it up for svcd or vcd and load in your mpeg file that you extracted from the bin image.

The next problem you might have is that a svcd movie is usually too big to fit on a 80mim cd-r.

That means your going to have to get 90 or 99min cd-r.

Having done that you might well find that your ao5 won't recognize the larger size discs so you go and buy a cd-r burner like the LITEON 52X24X52 for about £35 which will recognize the discs and incidentally also burn at once.

This is exactly what iv'e had to do myself recently quite a lot of hassle to watch a svcd!!

You can't do it. Not possible.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

And svcd2dvdmpg+ is probably the easiest method but if you want 100% compliant dvd you must reconvert.

How does NERO copy it? I have converted the bin files to mpeg, can i create a VIDEO_TS folder, then burn?

No, you don't have to author if you use svcd2dvdmpg+. You can directly burn the vobs/ifos to a standard dvd.

If you use the standard svcd2dvdmpg, you should get mpgs that Ulead should not reconvert and it should only take a few minutes to author.

  25. Hi all I have just done the same process as i done with SVCD,with VCD, and after putting it through ULEADMF2 it came out with broken up picture, do i need to do a different process?
    Quote Quote
  26. Why don't you just do it the old-fashioned way?

TMPGEnc it to a vide framesize that's compatible with your target media standard (i.e.:VCD,CVD,DVD,etc) If you need to letterbox (i.e.:Putting a 2.35:1 image into a 16:9 frame) then you need to flaskmpeg the file and use AVISynth to frameserve it to TMPGEnc. ENCODE AND VOILA! A completely compatible video file that will not be "broken". If it is "broken", then you got crappy source.
