    all of a sudden all the mpg films stop after 20 seconds playing or continue irregular (play and stop, play and stop, etc) no matter what player i use; no problems with avi films.
    i have installed again the Nimo codec pack but it did not solve the problem

    can someone give me some advise?

    First thing you do, is get rid of NIMO
    And then check your MPG file and see how it works.
    Then install just these codecs: Kristal Studio / DivX / XviD
