    Sorry ...

I have really only used my dvd burner (nec nd-1100a) to back-up my dvds with dvd x copy. This is a dvd+r burner, but I just bought a 5-pack of Fujifilm dvd+rws and can't get them to work. I keep getting "formatting" errors, but I am not familiar with the rewritable disks. Exactly how do I format the +rw disk? I right-clicked on the drive, chose format, and then was only allowed to select "quick format." This hasn't worked. I am sorry for the very basic question, but I would love to stop guessing and simply be able to format my disks. Thank you very much!

    heyjjjaded,

Unless you wish to use your +RW discs for Packet writing (InCD etc)software there is absolutely NO NEED to format them at all. Using your normal burning application simply go through the same processes as for +R and burn your DVD-Video to them....Job done. +RW formatting is done "on the fly".
You can do a quick format via several Burning programs. DVDinfo is available via links on this site and this also has a formatting button for RW discs (both - or +).

Thanks, StudeBarc. I am having success with DVD X Copy XPress; no problems with all 5 DVD+RWs. I'll try DVD X Copy again ... now that the RWs have been successfully written to.

  4. Good post. I wondered about that. I haven't officially tried to use +RW yet for video.
