  1. I am using total recorder 3.4 to record sound from a quicktime mov file. After this sound has been recorded, i notice that once exported to a wav, the sound is filled with quite a bit of noise that is not present on the source, and at some points the sound seems to echo. Furthermore, after opening total recorder, when i try to view the original (or anyother quicktime movie) mov file back in quicktime, the audio is also messed up the same way as the recorded wav. This problem does not occur if i view the file in quicktime before openig total recorder, any help on how to fix this and why its happening would be great. THNX

  2. it sounds like the direct sound isn't working correctly. i've had the same problem. open quicktime edit-preferences, then quicktime preferences. in the drop down box, select sound out and choose the soundcard that is in your system. direct sound is used by some computer games. selecting your soundcard or onbaord audio should correct this.

  4. you can try musicmatch jukebox. it will allow you to record from the sound card like total recorder. as far as a simple converter program, i haven't been able to find anything.
