I'm getting conflicts in DVD-Lab when I try to burn two VOBs, one which has a DTS track and one which has AC3. As I have many more AC3 than DTS I would like to be able to convert the DTS to AC3. Also, the DTS is 32.0 khz and DVD-Lab really doesn't like anything but 48 khz. Is there a program I can use to do this conversion and how do I go about it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

  2. hi,I'll like to know how did you get a DTS file with 33.khz?
    because I can't even get a 44.1khz DTS file,I only can get 48 khz.

Firstly, make sure that the DTS track isn't the only track. The DVD Spec says that if you have a DTS track you must also have a AC3 or PCM track (or is that MPEG2 or PCM???...not exactly sure). Also, I think it needs to be 48khz to be compliant...I know AC3 must be.

Anyways, to convert to AC3, rip the DTS to seperate channels...i.e. 1 wav for left, 1 for right, etc. I think BeSweet can do DTS. Make sure that the audio is 48khz (use Cool Edit to convert if you need to) and use BeSweet again to create your 5.1 AC3

I'm a little confused about this, as well. According to IfoEdit the file is 48 khz but DVD-Lab says it's 32 khz and won't accept it. Maybe the problem is with DVD-Lab? Anyway, it's from THE EAGLES - HELL FREEZES OVER.

Bartman: There is also a PCM track on the DVD but I want all the songs to be AC3 because a) DVD-Lab has a real problem mixing formats and b) I want the 6 channel sound.

Well, I guess I'll have to check out BeSweet. Great, another program to learn. Oh well, at least it's freeware. Gotta love freeware. Thanks for the input, guys.
