If you wanted to create a motion menu for a DVD of a Football team of 8 year olds, what would it look like?

Hi everyone. I’m going to create a DVD for my 8-year-old son’s Football Team. I haven’t decided on a theme for the motion menu yet. I know there’s a lot of talent that frequents this forum, so I thought I’d ask for suggestions. I already know how to make the motion menu; I’m just looking for ideas on the theme.

I just recently finished my son’s Baseball Team’s DVD. I created a really cool motion menu out of a picture of a Baseball Stadium. I had the each team player’s picture flash on the scoreboard. The DVD turned out to be a big hit with the kids and parents. One of the things they liked most was the motion menu I made.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas I could use for a Football DVD. Obviously I could use the scoreboard trick again, but if anyone had a better idea, it would be great.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

  2. what about having the screen be the quarterback..In the lower left we see just the edge of the quarter back and at the bottom we see part of the football.. Like the quarter back was going back to pass... in the distance is the different players jersy's (all of which are wide open), these are the buttons... when cursor on their hands go up when cursor off their hands are running position. when activated the qb throws the ball to the appropriate button and camera zooms in... That is pretty complex I know but maybe it's at least a direction....

I wouldn't be able to create all of that, but like the part about the players representing videos. I also like the part when you click on player and the quarterback throws the ball to the player.

Very creative JediXR. I will definetly consider it.
    Thanks!

  4. what part do you think you would have trouble with? I know it's pretty daunting to create people, but if you have pics on solid background with hands up and hands down that might be simpler, then in photo shop take out the background and save as png. skip the quarter back just have the ball apper... pretend the viewer is the quarter back and pressing the butotn is passing the ball.

thanks for the compliment... I always seem to come up with good Ideas for other people... unfortunately I am sitting here trying to come up with ideas for me and it never goes quite so well..hahaha
