I'm thinking of buying the Pinnacle Studio MovieBox DV external unit (want to convert VCR to video). It comes with Pinnacle Studio 8 authoring/editing software. Does anyone know if the DVD's that I create (using captured analog & digital video, as well as still photos) will burn in a Sony external DVD-Burner (the 510 external model). I ask this because I tried creating a DVD using Roxio Easy CD Creator 6.0 and had audio skillping problems. However, when I created that same DVD using Sonic MyDVD (software came with the burner) I had no problems. Now I'm wondering if the Sonic formatted DVD is the only one that will burn properly in my Sony unit. Has anyone used both together?

When I first got my DRU-510A (internal), I took an old MPEG file that I had captured from VHS tape at SVCD resolution (before I had a DVD burner), and I used Pinnacle Studio 8 to burn the SVCD video onto a DVD disk. It worked fine. Hope this info helps you.

I make my DVD with PS8 and I burn with Nero on DRU500A and I never had any problems.
