    uh, did you try the guides section?

    I found a guide in under a minute of reading your post
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

    You hafta get TMPGenc and the Quicktime plugin. All this and more can be found in the tools section on the left.
