I was going to go with a more expensive Sony model, but all of the bad Amazon reviews scared me away. so far, this one dosn't have any bad reviews out of about 10, and is about $30's cheaper.

I'm used to Panasonic Models, so what are the major differences between the two? Also, has anyone had any problems using DVD+R/RW disks on the machine? Also wondering if it's region free..and how old the model is.
