No, I don't see a problem with your own name in your posts, providing it's your decision that it's shown.

I like the yellow card system. I think the cards should be public for the first few days, but then should be hidden. That seems fair to me. I noticed that Doggiedaddy would probably disagree, and that's fine. There's nothing wrong with people having a difference of opinion, is there?

We had a discussion and poll in the mod forum to decide what to do with the yellow cards. We liked the system but obviously people were having problems dealing with it (either receiving it or believing other people should receive it).

On the vote on whether it should be viewable only to mods or all, the vote was split. bugster came up with the idea of viewable only to mods and the member themself and this seemed like a good practical solution.

I don't understand the issue regarding housepig's posting of a PM. The AUP doesn't provide a guarantee of privacy regarding anything we do. Anything I post or keep insystem is fair game, so I sometimes say or don't say things accordingly.

I agree with you. The spirit of the AUP is to not to use this site for or to discuss on this site the use of illegal activites. Most pertinent is intellectual property of course. To that effect, as clearly stated in the AUP, this refers to both the public forum and private messaging.

If you don't want your PMs posted in public with evidence of you doing dodgey things, don't do dodgey things on PM in the first place. There is no implicit guarantee that PM is private correspondence between two people and there is no particular reason that the recipient of the message cannot re-post it if they deem it necessary (e.g., for reporting).

This is no different from real life. If someone sends you are request by snail-mail asking you for something illegal, there is no reason why you can't publish it (e.g., via your local paper in protest).

To reply to someone's opinion (thought copper I believe) that the best policy for control of "warez" on a forum board is to keep it quiet, this is completely false. The best policy in protecting this forum is open and transparent where warez is vigorously controlled, and this is what the mods believe in. Furthermore, it is ridiculous for you to suggest that our policy in warez is in violation of the spirit of the AUP since we wrote it in the first place, and I think we know what we mean.

In any case, use your head first, before you post and you won't go too far wrong. And, take responsibility in your posts. It is nobody's fault but your own for posting whatever you do.

i got these typing shortcut from watching this site for the past 20 months.

typing is the only class i ever flunked in school.

the main reason i joined this site was that when instant copy 7 1st came out baldrick had a guide for that took about 6 hrs to do(i had actually posted 1 year before, i had ask 1 question and didn't post again for a year)

well i happened to tweak his methods with ifoedit and i burnt a 7 gig dvd (movie only) in about 35minutes and that was just amazing

(most of my previous dvd 9 to 5 dvd projects had took 24 hrs ) and i just wanted to share my idea with all of you all.

well, i find out that i helped a lot of people out and i liked it. people were asking me questions and i was answering and helping them out

i am the first person to tell you (u) that i am hotheaded and defensive and if somebody says something i don't like, i will mouth off
