  1. I am using dvddycrypter, dvd2one and burning with nero on a pioneer 105, everything works well for me but on movies that have loads of extras, is there a way of compressing them more so as to leave more space (less compression) for the main movie.?

only idea i have is to run your project into DVD2One twice, once for a 6000 setting, then combining the original vobs that houses the movie you want, with theprocessed vob that houses the extras, then run that back into DVD2One. it worked for me

  3. Try DVDShrink, this allows you to compress all streams at different levels.
Also the quality IMO is equal to DVD2One

And even to remove some of the extras, or to replace them by a series of still pictures.
It also has a very handy "Start/End" feature to crop parts of a title (the end-credits for example).
Some (including myself) have even used this feature to replace end-credits by still images, or remove chapters.

I really like the interface of DVDshrink and how quality it can analize a DVD and quickly see the structure. I had a few problems though were the movie just freezes.... It would be a very nice feature to remove title sets.

    drrob,

what I did because I had issue with dvdshrink freezing on video was run it through dvd shrink and only compressing extras say 20%. Then I ran the results of that output through DVD2one. Your movie will be less compressed now.

Or you can use IC which will do on fly different %'s of compression but it is slow and not very accurate with size.....

I would play with different ways and see what you like best.
