I'm burning a very small (19 mins) video clip to a VCD which only use up less than 200MB disc space. In order not to waste the rest of the disk space, I am planing to include some data files (mainly JPEG files) to the rest of the disk space so that it can be access from a PC Cdrom.

Anyone have any idea how to do that?

Same if I add MP3 files too

  6. My mates is the same (Sony....don't know modal)
I added some mp3s to a disc because I had some room to spare.
It's not to bad though as I can still play movie with the file menu browzer with DVD player.

    PS
I used TSCV but I guess it's not the cause of the problem.

  7. TSCV uses VCDImager as the backend... so it shouldn't be the cause.

VCDs are allowed to have additional files in the filesystem. A DVD player if it detects a disc to be a VCD should then subsequently ignore additional files like JPEGs or MP3s in the filesystem.

If it does not, it is buggy...

BTW, you didn't make your VCD as a CD-ROM did you? i.e., it's actually authored correctly? I'm kind of surprised a Sony unit would have this problem.

No. Burned the cue in Nero. I created an extra folder in TSCV and added them there. So, VCDImager would have taken care of them.

I'll find out what Sony modal it was for reference.

  9. Did you try to burn the CUE/BIN image with something else (e.g., a program that understands CUE/BINs properly)? For example, mounting the CUE/BIN image with Daemon-Tools and using CloneCD to copy is better than Nero still...

  10. No....just used Nero to burn.
I guess the file structure was fine as WinDVD and Zoomplayer (DVD mode) played fine when using D-Tools to mount the cue/bin.

    It must be the player.
Could the XML file be the issue? I think not?

    I'm guessing it's the player.

...or you can use VCDEasy and on the last page there are buttons for "Add files", "Add Content" & "Add folder".

    Same options in TSCV.

I've found it the player is in fact a Philips (again, don't know modal yet)
Hard to believe as wern't Philips a major contributor to the S/VCD specifications?
