I never said Mexicans hate Mexicans. I know better. And please spell out your response, rather than use textspeak (e.g., "u" instead of "you", "I" not capitalized, etc.), because it is hard to take you seriously when you do not take the time to type like an adult.

@Anyone. Please be careful, this is such a sensitive subject even a very minor mistake can cause serious offence when discussing racism/bigotry (call it what you will). At the moment I can see some tension here but people do seem to be remaining fairly civil, lets keep it that way.

Firstly, please be aware that not everyone in the world uses the same slang as you. This is an international forum.

I have to admit that that quote regarding Mexicans made absolutely no sense to me (being an Australian) and still doesn't make all that much sense even after it was explained.

This is also seen with your remark on pacmania's sig. "Boat people" mean a very different thing in Australia to what you think it means. Furthermore, before you make completely ridiculous assumptions, actually read the link.

Secondly, please be aware that we do not read each and every post. I would read in detail easily less than 1% of ALL the posts on this forum. That's why there is a "report" thread to bring things to our attention. We are not robots.

Thirdly, something you find offensive may not have been intended as such, and indeed, may not be offensive to the majority of people.

If you find something YOU think is offensive, then by all means bring it to the attention of the mods. Having a specific link to the post (rather than just the thread) is helpful rather than saying a particular member is "bad". But take into account the top three points. Just because YOU think something is bad, doesn't mean that WE think it is.

Sorry to post after you have locked it Vitualis.

I am honoured that you all took the time to read my blog. Personally I didn't mean it as a racist thing (if any of you took it that way). It is meant to be a more satirical look at reality TV and the Australian political system then a racist piece.

Everything is intended on their to be a joke. If you really think I am racist then perhaps you should spend a day with me. My next door neighbor is a Chinese, my friends at Uni are Aboriginal, Indian and Islanders. I work with New Zealanders, the Irish, an American and an Englishmen as well as deal with customers from almost everywhere.

If everyone just relaxed a little and took a few deep breaths before jumping onto every little comment things would be a lot less tension filled around here.
