  1. How do I create a multimedia CD-Rom that includes
    1) Audio tracks
    2) Data (eg: shockwave presentation)
    3) VCD
and make sure a regular cd player plays back music, a hardware vcd player play the video and a computer run the multimedia data.

    Need urgent help.

  2. You can definitely put additional data files on a VCD. VCDImager, VCD Toolkit (I think), Nero and ?WinOnCD allow you to do this.

VCD2.0 also supports CD-DA audio tracks. I think that only WinOnCD and VCD Toolkit support this functionality though.

You can probably burn the audio tracks first. Close Session (not Close Disc). Then burn a VCD (containing your extra data files - Nero can do that). Or vice-versa.

I never tried it myself, but you can always give it a shot...

I havent seen one piece of software that supports each and every capability of VCD 2.0. I'm kind of hoping VCDImager will step up to the plate.

VCD Toolkit and Videopack 4 will allow video and CDDA audio, but no extra data files.

Nero and VCDImager will allow video and extra data files, but no extra CDDA audio.

  6. I tried what "JEOMITE" proposed, but it did not work out.

  7. Jeomite, what you described cannot work. VCD2.0 is very specific on exactly where certain things go phyisically on the CD.
