I have a large number of Music DVDs and want to take individual songs from them and then put them on a DVD and play it as though it were a CD with Video. In other words the songs would play consecutively without going back to the menu screen when a song finishes. So far I've managed to get the songs onto a DVD with menus by using NeoDVD Plus to import the VOBs and create the DVD. However, it treats each song as a title rather than as a chapter and this causes it to go back to the menu after each. I've tried doing it in DVD-Lab because I can create a chain linking one title to the next but for some reason a number of the selections have no audio when I burn the DVD although the VOB has the audio when I play it in Power DVD. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  2. Authoring from VOB files is hit and miss. I would demux the VOB files to seperate m2v and ac3 files for each title you want, then re-author in DVD Lab.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I've tried that several times and on some of the selections there is no audio. I've tried using ac3, dts & even the lowly PCM but although it plays fine in Power DVD there is no audio after burning it to disc using DVD-Lab. Anything else I'm missing here?

  4. If you already have one VOB per song, then use IFOEdit to author your DVD. It will work correctly as you expect, i.e. play one song then continue with the next. You can also select a song by selecting the correct chapter number.
