  2. I use morgan because it supports dual machines. I'm thinkin about going back to PIC. I've had some strange problems (colors swapped) with Morgan (not often).

How long could we maintain? I wondered. How long until one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy? What will he think then?

I use the Adaptec DVSoft Codec for DV capturing.
Laserdiscs are cool, but laserdiscs on DVD-Rs are cooler.

How do you do that?My DV transfer programs don't allow the choice of a codec (which isn't really necessary, as DV is a file transport).

And yes, huffy in conjunction with VDub's noise filter gives perfect results.Sometimes look better than the original VHS tape.

Do you have virtualdub installed. If you click on video, compression you should see it along with your other video codecs if it is instaled properly.

  24. I can't get Canopus DV codec to work in VDUB when trying to capture DV.

All I get is a grey image on my VDUB preview pane. I have DVD Studio 1 by Ulead, but it captures AVI Type-1, and I really need Type-2 to use TMPGEnc.

    Any help appreciated.

  25. Check the tools section I am sure there is a DV type1 to DV type2 converter there.

  27. The poll ought to have an option to vote for Mainconcept DV codec. I used to use Huffyuv but now mostly use the Mainconcept codec I bought for $50. Worth every penny, does a great job. Can't tell the TMPG-encoded DVDs captured with Mainconcept DV from the older DVDs captured with Huffyuv.

Isn't there something about having to be in YUV format as certain formats are not compatible?
