  1. First off, I'm using DVD2SVCD 1.1.3 build 2, the 2.66.01.7 build of the CCE trial encoder, and ECLCCE 1.5 (or whatever the most recent version is). I live in an NTSC region, and am primarily baking up 4:3 DVD's. I don't have any trouble ripping the vobs, extracting or transcoding the audio, ripping the subtitles or encoding the a/v and vuiling a CD image *unless* I select any kind of deinterlace option.

In which case, the DVD2SVCD proceeds smoothly until it loads the AVS files into the CCE encoder, and I've noticed that it stops after encoding a very short 240 frame file. Doing a search on Doom9 revealed that this was a problem with smartdeinterlace, and was fixed by upgrading to most recent version of DVD2SVCD and ECLCCE, but no go.

I really don't know if my backups could be any better (they look ok on my TV), but am curious to see if they would, hence my asking for help re: deinterlacing.

Any info would be gladly accepted, and if you need more information from me (logfiles, whatever), just let me know.

    thanks for any help.

  2. Why would you be de-interlacing your back-ups? There's really no need to...

I thought only ver. 2.50 of CCE worked with DVD2SVCD. Maybe try older version of CCE.
All I've got in this world is my balls and my word.....

and I don't break them for no one!
