  1. Ok, I'm sure there is a better way to do what I'm trying here, but I feel lik I'm close here so I'd like to focus on where I'm at, not how I got here. Of course, if anyone needs that info to help me out I will provide it.

    Here goes,

I started with 3 avi's of excellent quality. I did tons of processing and right now I'm sitting with ifo, vob, etc sitting in a directory ready to be burned. The problem is that these files are 6.61 GB. I knew I would be over DVD5 capacity, but I thought I could get around that using DVD2ONE.

Side note here, I understand I could have lowered the bitrate, but I lowered to 5500 already. I didn't want to go any lower, so I figured I would go over capacity and use DVD2ONE to drop frames. I've used DVD2ONE many, many times and I can never tell a difference with the backed up DVD. Your suggestions are welcome here.

Back to my problem - I went to drop frames using DVD2ONE, but it said it couldn't process the file. It has yet to be decrypted. Now, DVDDecryptor doesn't give the option of decrypting files already on my hard drive.

Does anyone know of a tool out there that will allow me to decrypt files residing on my hard drive? Or am I missing an option in DVDDecryptor?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mick

Smartripper can rip from files already on your HD,it will decrypt as it rips to a new diretory. Open Smartripper, there's a small file icon in the upper left, that opens files on your HD.

  4. OK, I installed SmartRipper and started decoding, but I got this message,

No keys found in this encrypted file!

    What does this mean?

It's not encrypted,DVD2ONE will sometimes give a false encryption error. Try DVD Shrink 2.3,it's freeware and may work.
