  1. i have made a xsvcd :

    MPEG-PS file format detected.
    VIDEO: MPEG1 720x480 (aspect 2) 23,98 fps 20018,8 kbps (2502,3 kbyte/s)

    AUDIO: 44100 Hz, 2 ch, 16 bit (0x10), ratio: 16000->176400 (128,0 kbit)

    so anybody can tell me how to burn this movie and if it works , maybe someone could tell from the specs that it wont work .

    i have been told that i have to burn it as vcd2 or non standard vcd (broken )

    i did mplex the video and music with tpmgenc as mpeg 2 svcd or if this is wrong should i use
    video-cd non standard ?

    thanks .

    Since the video is in MPEG1, I'd multiplex as a non-standard VCD, not SVCD. And I've always burned X(S)VCD's with Nero, just by turning off the create standard compliance setting, and they come out great. Otherwise, your settings sound good

  3. The settings are ok, but for the resolution, the video bitrate is about half of what it should be for minimal acceptable quality, unless you're a macroblock fan If your DVD player supports X(S)VCD, I would suggest encoding to MPEG-2 VBR video at arround 5000 kbps max as this is the usual allowable limit for XSVCD (at least in APEX and Mintek models), and MPEG-2 is also better for higher resolution/bitrate video. XVCD on many DVD player models only support a 1600 kbps video max bitrate, which will just make your video look like crap. Go XSVCD (or cDVD if your player accepts it and you have DVD-authoring software)

  4. wel i use a program avidemux (linux)

    The idea is to make is 100% SVCD compliant (99 %) thats why the videobitrate is not higher as ~ 2300 and not lower as 600

    i see that it is a xvcd (sorry ) anyway i use some kind of a template , klik on xvcd and the convert will begin .

    anyway on the pc yhe quality was great but i mux the files as svcd will try as non standard vcd
