dat to vob

whats a good proggy that will let edit vob files. sort of thing that vcd cutter does.

i want to take for instance, 2 vobs and cut a few bits out then add chapters and re auther.

want a quick and easy proggy not a long winded one that takes all day..
or something that will re encode a dat file to vob file? thx.

TMPEG will Merge & Cut the video for you. Just go to MPEG Tools > Merge & Cut and open up the VOB files. However, you'll have to do the audio separate in an audio editor, and the mux them together, so this might not be the simple solution you're looking for.

As for conversion from DAT to VOB.
DAT is a very vague file type. Is this like an AVSEQ01.dat from a VCD, or a partial download from Kazaa DAT file??

Either way, VOB means a DVD file type, so you're gonna need an DVD Authoring program, DVD Lab is nice an has a 30 day full trial, or you can try your hand at the simplistic but complicated IFOEdit.
