I converted a 45 minute TV episode with DIVX 5.01,used simple one pass at 2800 B/R and the file came out 369MB's. I upgraded to DIVX and converted the same episode at simple one pass 2800 and the file was over 800MB's. To get it under 700MB's I had to use an 1800 bitrate.
Why the huge difference in file size? I notice the the scale in 5.01 is 0-10,000 but 0-4,000 in 5.05

Are you sure all the setting are the same. Perhaps the Performance/Quality setting was set to something else. Also, right click on each file in explorer, and see what the video bitrate is. I get a page telling me that, using WinXP, so you might not though.
No idea what else it would be.
