In North Queensland (summer time) the temp can get around 30-32 degrees celcius. However it is the humidity that really can get to you (90-95 %). That is when you know you are alive

  5. Pretty much the same as hoyboy.

Just curious hoyboy, do you live in Bundaberg, if so you wouldn't be able to tell me the name of the beach there. It has like a creek that runs into it. From what I've been told it is in a trendier part of Bundaberg if that helps.

It hit 28C in London (UK) this afternoon, but it's 22:37 at the moment and it's 34.5C in the spare room where this PC is, and about 32C in the rest of my flat - the fans are going to be on in the bedroom tonight!

    Regards,

because of global warming, the weather is constantly changing. so much so,that most if not all weather predictions are wrong. last night it went down to 12C,today it was 25C with a low of 19. normal low is about 24 at this time of year.

so because the weather isn't a constant(like it used to be), i cannot respond to the radio button poll

Hi there fellow Brit! Yeah pretty much the same where I live in Bradford, West Yorkshire and I tell ya one thing, I blinkin' hate summer! Don't get me wrong, I like a nice bright day but only when it is cool with a breeze. This weather is awful though because it makes you feel ill with the pollen and the heat/humidity gives you a banging headache, plus you become limp and lethargic with no motivation to do anything except flop in the chair somewhere cool.

My favourite season is Autumn then Winter, followed by Spring and Summer. I must be one of a tiny minority that loves a good rainstorm or just gentle rain on a calm and cosy day.....sooo relaxing and soothing!

Anyway...only two months to go before summer buggers off and some of us can return to the land of the living and the sane!

Reminds me of an episode of Who's LIne Is It Anyway.

I'll kick you where the sun doesn't shine.

    Seatle Washington!

It reached 100 degrees over the week end. But with the heat index it felt like 110 degrees. Which would explain my sun poisioning over the weekend. SC, gotta love it.

Pacmania, I'm afraid I don't live in bundaberg, I jst like sampling the fine product drom the distilling factory there. I live in the beautiful whitsundays, with resorts such as Hayman Island, Hamilton island and South Molles Island. There are more, but that gives you an idea. I think the beach you are thinking of might be Alva beach in bundaberg.

Lucky bugger getting to live there all the time.

Ahhh Calgary... Currently it's sunny and 23C (73F)...

Just to keep you on your toes: Highs in the summer can reach the mid 30's (90+ F) and lows in winter can hit less than -30C (less than -30 F). I've seen the temperature drop or raise 50C (almost 100F) in less than 4 hours.

I would not mind a bit of a drizzle at the moment, I am melting. Still, its not all bad I have got a few days off work. It's just too hot to work at the moment.

tell me about it! i wanted to go out for a bike ride today, opened the curtains and just thought "forget it!!"
and how ironic, baking outside and i'm inside bunged up with a cold!

The sign of a true geek:
I know it's hotter than average because the temerature gauge in my system trays tells me it's 47C inside my computer.

It's funny how badly the heat affects everyone here, i suppose because it's only for a few days a year. although what i found funnier was watching an episode of jackass where they came over to england, and listening to them bitch and whine about the cold the -moment- they were off the plane.

    yes........

Always amuses me sitting in traffic jams looking at cars, you can tell who does and doesn't have air con, by whether their windows are firmly closed, or if they're draping out of the car, panting and sweating.

i was wondering if you ever went to work or not

i've got the week off, but like i said, too hot to go anywhere, and full of cold (wants a snotty smiley)

hmm. now my computer says 48C!

  29. Supposed to be about 80F in MN - USA today.

I have air in the car. I'm not totally a materialistic guy but I will never own a car without air unless I can buy some sort of diaper suit to absorb my sweat!

lots of people i know don't have because of the expense, and because here you only need it two weeks a year! a nuclear fission generator for powering the heater the other 50 weeks a year is far more important!!
