Ya, I was kidding of course, nice rides. I don't fit in one @ 6'6 I need head room. "The Beast" is diesel and runs at about 20mpg still add up between stops.

yes us americans do like tank-like vehicles but hey gas is cheap and suvs are somewhat safer (to the ones in the suvs at least)
-
Unless I'm mistaken, (and perhaps for the very new SUV's -- or as us Australian's call them, 4WDs), SUV's are generally less safe in a motor vehicle accident than a standard sedan -- in terms of both the rate of accidents AND the type of injuries sustained in an accident.

4 wheel drives (generically known as land rovers in lots of the country, or at least where i'm from) always seem to be driven by mums taking kids to school around here. the one farming family i used to know didn't have -any- and i see hundreds go past our house every week, as we live 5 doors down from a school.
not saying anything about women drivers, but all of these kid carrying land rover mums are hideous drivers! maybe it's because their vehicle is so big, they just plough down roads and hope for the best. then their kids are even worse, they'll cross in front of you when they're less than 5 metres from a zebra crossing! it's a good thing i have a good supply of emergency pants..... -
As a family man my car life is pretty BORING.
Honda Accord
Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Everyone knows what they look like.
Chicks never look at me in my car anymore unless I'm changing while driving -

I must post a pic of my 406 if I can remember to. -
I believe it stands for recreational vehicle.

anything else you would like to know?
By the way,
the Lincoln Navigator
is by far the largest SUV I have seen ever! Its SRP is $50,000. -

1 gallon is 3.79 liters, so divide by 3.79 and this is the price per liter
Regular - averages $.44 a liter ---- £0.28
Super - averages $.45 a liter ---- £0.29
Premium - averages $.47 a liter ---- £0.30
I did my best to convert to £ but I may be off
I assumed its £0.6272 to 1 american dollar
My car (accura rsx) gets about 35 miles (56.25 kilometers) to a gallon on average.
An SUV can vary, but I believe can be anywhere form say 14 (24.1 km) to 25 miles (40.14km) per gallon -
Your gallons must be different to ours, we have 4.56 litres/gallon, and yes our petrol has extortionate taxes applied.
