first post here
hope someone can help me
this is a great site!!!
i did a search for this type of problem but didnt find one exactly like mine
when i follow the how to guide for VCD to DVD and try to play it on my Pioneer DV-333
the picture keeps on moving from the bottom to the top and its off center
i tried changing the TV-screen from 4:3 Pan Scan to 4:3 letter box and vice versa still no affect
when i try to play it on my Sony DVP-S560D it says "Playback prohibited my area limitations"
it works fine on my Pioneer DVDROM
i made the disc using a Cendyne 4X DVD+R
using a Verbatim disc burned it at 2x
i tried a few different VCDs and they all do the samething
does it matter that they are actual BIN files and not taken from the VCD??
if you need more info please let me know
thanks!!!

Yuk!
I got this once when I tried to make a NTSF SVCD from a PAL VCD.
The picture was skewed to the right of the screen, scrolling from bottom to top, and mostly black an white.
Try ripping the VCD to get the MPEG file out and then use one of the many tools available here to check the source format of the file.
I'd bet it's 25fps PALOnly 3 things are certain in life... Death, Taxes, and SPAM. Of these, only Death seems affordable!
