  1. I have seen a 'random' problem that has occurs on some of my disks. The disks play perfectly in stand-alone players for awhile. Then the screen goes black and starts scrolling to the right. The audio is still present. Sometimes this occurs after 5 minutes, sometimes not for an hour, or never at all (each time it is different).

    This problem is strange because it never happens at the same spot on the disk. So it seems like it is not a "media" problem. The problem contains to exist even if I stop the disk. I have to remove the disk and reinsert it for the problem to go away.

    I've also seen this problem with different media and on multiple stand-alone players.

    Has anyone seen problems like this ...

    Media = Fuji Film DVD+R and TDK DVD+R
    Recorder = TDK 440N
    Players = older panasonic (that it was the player), so I bought a Toshiba SD-2900.
    Method = DVD Decrypter, IFOEdit, Nero (using DVD-Video method).

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  2. The TDK 440N is a multi-format burner. What happens when you burn with DVD-R media?

    Have you checked to see if there are any firmware updates available?

    Does this happen when playing the original DVD?

    Try burning with Nero using the DVD-ROM (UDF) mode... I've found that UDF 1.02 is compatible with more players.

  3. I haven't tried DVD-R media yet, just DVD+R. I purchased the media when my roommate had only had a + media recorder.

    All original DVDs work perfectly, only the Striped and Recorded versions occationally act up. Also, some ISO copies act up.

    I will try to determine if firmware updates are available. I will also try DVD-R media, but I hope to resolve the problem with DVD+R media, since I have a 50 pack to burn...

    Thanks,
