  1. How call I tell what kind of mpeg2 file is? I mean video and audio format, like if it's type1 or type2? Resolution of the video? audio in LPCM or type2 ....

The reason I want to know this: I convert my dv's to mpeg2 file, and found some audio problem (no sound), and later when I try to join them, it tell me the audio is in the different format even I did only use one program to do that. So, I want to check the format and make all of them same.

I am wondering what's the best audio format I should use if I want to burn it on dvds - I am using dvd-lab.

    Thanks for the help.

Load the video into TMPGEnc. Then look at the bottom of the main screen for numbers like these:

    Hello.

  4. Thanks for the suggestions.

Maybe, the audio LPCM format. TMPGEnc can't open the files and AVIcodec said it doesn't support it.

So, this LPCM format isn't good for dvd burning? How can I convert the audio format? Which audio format should I convert to?

    Thanks.

Try Virtual Dub MPEG-2 mod Then frameserve it to TMPGEnc.

    Thanks.
