Hi,

I am testing DVDIdle Pro Demo but I have found the following:

I have an AOpen 2412Pro DVD+R/+RW Drive. The drive is new and when first installed (Windows 2000) DVD Region Info 2.2 as well as DVDIDle Pro informed me that the drives region code had not yet been set and there were 5 user changes and 4 manufacturer changes remaining.

After inserting and playing the first DVD title (which was region code 1) both DVD Region Info 2.2 and DVDIdle Pro now inform me that the current region code is 1 and there are now 4 user changes and 4 manufacturer changes left.

Why is this so?

I was under the impression that DVDIdle Pro (DVD Region-Free) would stop the region code of the drive being altered.

Does this mean that the drives region counter will be incremented anyway (for the first five changes) even with DVDIdle Pro installed and, once locked, DVDIdle Pro (DVD Region-Free) will take over and allow you to watch any region on the now locked drive?

I have sent this same message to support@DVDIdle.com but have not as yet received a reply.

Has anyone else noticed or checked this out.
