  1. Hi ALL, been using nero latest version to burn my dvd-r & they play fine on pacific 100 but wont even load on my toshiba 520e . Using nero in udf 1.02 mode media is Datawrite classic 4 speed (tried 4 and 2 speeds) and mirror platinum 2 speed. They both play in pacific player in kids room but not in toshiba. Authoring using TMPgnc author. Obatined copied movie from a 3rd party (datawrite classic- played fine on both). Have used dvddecrypter to copy dvd, worked fine in both (datawrite classic). Is this nero problems or media problems? These dvd coasters although pretty are getting exspensive!

  2. type your dvd player here: https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

and find out if your toshiba supports which kind of media...you may also wanna read other user's comments..they usually mention which media and burned at what speed are good for your dvd player

    1) have you tried burning at 1X?

    2) apparently, if the DVD-R works on another dvd player and, i assume, on your DVD-ROM, it is most likely a compatibility issue. nero traditionally has had problems burning DVDs because of compatibility issues....however, i'm using the latest nero express and the DVD-Rs work perfectly on my pioneer dv333.

as i recall, some older players may not like UDF 1.02...you may need to burn at UDF 1.01, i believe...

    3) or you can try using another burning proggie, like copy2dvd...just make sure your hdd is NTFS and not FAT32...

  3. Try Nero and choose DVD-ROM (UDF). Using UDF 1.02 solved my compatibility problems on 3 standalone players.
