  1. Hi,

I wanted to know which product people think is best.
I am interested in a "one-step" analog to finished DVD /VCD product.

    So Far I have used:

MYDVD4 - that I got with my ADS unit - I liked this software a lot, I also liked that it lets me do a lot a chapters (up to 99).
    Lots of backgrounds etc.
It seems to take a pretty long time.
I have NOT gotten MYDVD4 to work with other capture boards (maybe cause it got an OEM verison that only works with the ADS?)

neoDVDstandard 4.1- I got with my AVerDVD EZMaker
This software seems to have pretty good quality only lets me do 6 chapters in direct to DVD mode (actually if you use their wizard you can't have any. but I kludged around that) Does not have too many different backgrounds (or music etc.)
    IT IS REALLY FAST ....
(only give my one hours at best quality)

I just got the ADVC-50 - which after one day I love and can see very obvious improvements over the other 2 boards I have.
I was able to use it with NEODVD right away and the results are good.

I want to know what product you recommend (from above of others) that will give me: (and remember I am not talking editing or various several step solutions)
(of course no single product will give me the best of all)

    1. Good Quality
    2. Many chapters
    3. Nice Backgrounds (moving is also nice)
    4. Fast Performance
    5. Long times (more minutes per DVD)

I realize that so far I am using the OEM version that came with my product (although I did a free upgrade of the NEO) it could be the retail or expert versions will be better. I am willing to pay once I know which is the best product.

Have their best comparison articles? Who else is in this field?
    moviefactory2?
    videostudio7?
    dvdworkshop?

  2. I can only speak for one: neoDVD Plus, similar to the neoDVD standard version with a few differences:
    1) encode with AC3 audio, so you can fit 93mins on one DVD at best quality
    2) support motion menu
Everything else stay very much the same as the standard version.

  3. Thanks for the tip.
90 min instead of 60 - that sounds valuable. And the video quality is the same?
    How is the audio?
Question is do all these package have the same quality on the video?
Main thing I wanted was more than 6 chapters in auto mode (mydvd gives that to me but has other negs...)

    Thanks again

  4. Video quality for neoDVD Plus is the same as neoDVD Standard, since audio is compressed (AC3), it make room for more video.
I am happy with both sound/video quality in BEST mode.
neoDVD has many limitations: 6 chapter point max is one of them.
What you could do is to import the VOB generated by neoDVD into IFOEdit and create as many chapter points as you like. This help to get rid of the simplistic menu created by neoDVD too.

  5. Thanks .. I hope to try it.

What I like with neo is the one button create.
once I import etc .. it will complicate my efforts...

Mydvd give more points .. but TAKES MUCH LONGER wit ha long time after the data is recorded .. before the disk starts burning.

Anyone use any other products out there?
