  1. Hi hope I am posting in the right forum..

My ? is there a way to keep the volume consistant with multiple vid clips?
I'm making a vcd of music videos but found out the volume varies with each clip and thats no good. Is there a way I can adjust the volume in each clip to the same or about the same levels? And can I adjust the tone or clean up the audio too? Any help is appreciated As I am racking my brains here and do searches etc. Thanks again

Okay I found a way in tmpgenc but doesnt seem to give me much range in increasing the volume

I believe I've read somewhere that you can do it in Goldwave (tools).

But you'll probably have to do each track separately.

Baldrick has created a guide for Goldwave here.

    Hope that helps

the process you are asking about is called normalising the audio. but you must normalise all the audio files together at the same time. this is known as batch normalising so that the tracks can be compared against one another. Also increasing audio is easy in any wav editor. Goldwave will do both. tho cool edit pro is better at it.

  5. To MisterMickster and SecretAgent,

Thanks for the suggestions! I went and found away to do it in tmpgenc as a setting prior to encoding and seems to be working out. I will check out both your suggestions because it never hurts to know more and thanks for posting a guide link. Thanks again!
