  1. Right I have this file which is an avi it plays and watches fine of my pc however when I convert it with tmpgenc about five minutes before the end the audio gets hung up and keeps repeating itself. This did not happen in the original avi.

    I tried extracting the audio with virtualdub but I get an ACM decompression error.

    I then used avi2wav to extract the audio which plays perfectly throughout. However when I convert using tmpgenc the audio STILL gets hung up even though the source wav file is perfect.

    What could be causing this

    Any help would be great as this is getting on my nerves

    Sounds like an audio codec problem. Did you extract the audio, or export it to wav? Try saving the audio as wav, rather than extracting it. use VirtualDub, and set the audio to 'Full Processing Mode', and FILE | SAVE WAV
