  1. How do I extract the Audio only from a MPEG1 file? Its VCD format with audio 224Kbs. I want to use the Audio in a different video.

I have Ulead VS7 and TMPGenc.

One way is to go in to TMPGEnc, go to the File menu, go to MPEG Tools, click on the Simple De-Multiplex, add your .mpg file, then click Run. That will then give you a .m2v file (your video) and a .mp2 file (your audio).

  3. You can save .mp2 audio in VS as well by using "Create Sound File" but TMPGEnc is faster.

  4. Just load your VCD file into TMPG and go to FILE > OUTPUT TO WAVE and this will save a wave version of the audio for you to convert to whatever other format you need.
