  1. Hi all,

    I am having trouble splitting my avi files. I have been trying to use virtual dub to split an avi file into two smaller avi's. I choose a key frame to split and after selecting my start and end frames I goto save as avi in the file menu. The first avi works great but the second is always out of sync. I have loads of avi files and this happens on every single one. Can someone please help me? I am going absolutley insane . I am new to this so am probably doing something stupid.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

  2. No Guarantees bu try this.

    Open your avi in virtualdub. Select
    Audio->full processing mode,
    Audio->compression = none
    File-> save as wav.
    Audio->wav audio (and select your newly saved wav file)

    Now split as before and see if this helps.

  3. I too am having a similar problem...

    I'm trying to convert an XVID to SVCD, but I found that were 33 corupt frames in the xvid, so i'm using VDub to delete the corrupted frames. Using both source audio, and wav audio, there is a delay after the split. I have been all over these forums and tried every tutorial and the suggestion made in this thread, (with the exception of using goldwave because it hardlocks my PC). Nothing seems to work and I have now wasted 3 whole days trying to get this movie converted. Please someone help!

  4. SMREID!..... I figured it out...if the movies you are trying to cut have mp3 audio (mine did) Vdub cannot support it and no matter what you try it will always be out of sync...NANDUB is virtually the exact same program as Vdub, only it supports more audio formats including mp3. It worked for me with little effort after 3 days of brain racking with vdub, hope it is helpful for you as well.
