How to convert *.SWF to *.AVI

I have Macromedia Flash movie files in *.SWF format.
How can I convert them to *.AVI?
I tried importing the file into Macromedia Flash and then exporting as AVI but what I get is just a blank movie and no sound at all.

Any help is very much appreciated.

What was that above? ..the complete results of this guys GOOGLE SEACH no doubt..
unfortutunaltely most of those links discuss putting movies into FLASH (the reverse of what you're doing) or are e-mail links..why?

well if you've done this before, the screen could be black because your system is missing the codec that FLASH wants to use..
A good thing is to try a differnt codec..the last window that pops up when you export to AVI is the key (in FLASH MX i'm talking)

Choose a codec you know exists on your system..The default is UNCOMPRESSED..Huge file size..but very good..However it seems this is the kind of file you made so try with a different codec like DIVX or Intel Indeo
