    hi i got a video file and when i try and play it threw power dvd it doesnt play it i dont get an error message or anything it just doesnt work so i ran it threw winamp 3 and it also didnt play it. I have all codecs loaded from the nimo codec pack and also i ran it threw gspot and it said type: "non-AVI File - Type Unknown". I thought that virtual dub would open it so i tried it and the error that i got was "This avi file doesn't have a movie data block (movi)!"

    what i want to know..is how to get this file to run i cant encode it to svcd or vcd because it wont open it just says there is no file there. I dont think the file is corupt but it could b because it wouldnt run off the cd but i could copy it from the cd to the harddrive so could someone please tell me how to get this file to run thanks for all of your help
