I am having a problem with my capture software (Sonic MyDVD 4.04) splitting my files in half after they reach a certain file size (4gb or so).
I read that having an NTFS formatted disk will stop that, but I am using NTFS but my capture program still splits it when it hits 4gb.
Does anyone know how to stop it?? I can't find anything in the settings that would disable this.
If it can't be disabled within MyDVD, can anyone suggest a capture software that works with Adaptec's VideOh! capture cards?
Thanks.

The NTFS File system allows programs to write files larger than 4Gb. However, programs must be so written to be able to do so.
Additionally, older specifications for the AVI files limited the max file size.
For capturing, after using a few programs, I selected to use VirtualDUB's capture option. It may appear too complicated at first but give it half an hour and a few test captures and you will get it going. It can capture files as large as your disk can holdThe more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
