I have a avi. movie it think, it plays fine on my computer, but I want to burn on a cd as a vcd or mpeg.
I tried to open it in vdub and vdub crasheded, it couldnt open it.
I tried to open it in gspot and gspot crashed, it couldnt open it.
What do I need to do? I can't even find out what format its in.

Did Vdub or gspot give you any error messages before they crashed? Also try avicodec to open them.

The error message I get is " Cannot determine file type" on Vdub
Gspot just crashes.
And avi2wav says its not a avi file.
Please help. I trying everything. -
