Got a phillips dvd711 and when i play svcd's that are in ntsc format the audio & video are slighlty out of synch, ive tried them on a friends dvd which is a different make and his does the same, but played through the pc they are fine. Anyone any ideas what could be causing this and if their is a solution?

My first thought is that you've got a 23.976fps video source. The video/audio are in sync from start to finish on the PC but off on the TV correct?
Check the frame rate of the VCD, if it's 23.976, use VCDGear to convert the DAT file back to a MPEG, apply the 3:2 pulldown, re-burn it, and see what happens.
