i want to install XP on a slave hard drive on my computer ; how would i go about doing that?

You're going to have to create a primary partition on that slave drive. Format (I recomend ntfs) and install XP on it. Then you're going to need a boot loader to load the OS you want(I asume you have another OS on master drive).
I dual-boot 98se and XP pro and I use GAG. It's a free boot loader that lets you boot up to 9 OS's and suports multiple drives. Do a google search for GAG. It works great and best of all, it's free!Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
