    I am trying to cut a 1+ gig mpeg file with bbmpeg(avi2mpeg2).
    I am following "Tenders SVCD Cutting Guide".
    I de-multiplexed my meg file with TMPG and then I open bbmpeg.
    That is were I have a problem.
    When I click on "open vs" in the Inputand Output files tab the program closes.
    I get a file explores screen the the bbmpeg program goes away.
    Am I doing something wrong?

    Are you using Windows XP?

    There is a patch available to allow bbMPEG to work under XP, but I can't remember where its listed. I can e-mail it to you if you like.

    Thanks, you guys solved my problem.
    Can I ask a simple question about bbmpeg while Im here?
    Why is it that when I split a mpeg file and give the starting seconds and ending seconds and then I tell it to make the file 800mb.,it ends up being a little more than 800 mbs.
    The last one I did was 818mbs.
