    Hi,
I used SmartRipper and DVDFab to back up a movie. DVDFab created two folders, one per disk, each with a Video_TS and Audio_TS folder. My question is : before burning and risking making coasters, can I play these on my PC to check out whether the menus work, the movie plays and the special features are available. I have PowerDVD and WMP, but can't figure out how to access the features using these viewers. I also have Daemon Tools and it seems to me that I should be able to use that like a DVD player, but again, cannot figure out how.
    Any help appreciated,
    Morloc

from PowerDVD (at least version 4 and up) there is an option to play dvd files from hard drive.

there's an icon that looks like a disc drive, toward the lower right on the control panel. click it.

  3. It might be easier to just click on the VIDEO_TS.IFO file for the movie you want to check. That will start the playback in your default player.

    Housepig:
I only have ver. 3.0. It does have a file function, but I don't know which file to load into the playlist to get the movie to play from the menu screen.
    Triple_Helix:
Clicking on the VIDEO_TS.IFO file just opens it in Notepad. Loading it into the PowerDVD playlist doesn't do anything either. Did you mean a different file?

Thanks for trying to help me.
