  1. Hey,

I like dvdfab and all, but if I try to split whole disc, so that I retain all the menus and extras, I cant choose where I want it to be split.

This is a real pain cuz then I have to goto the split movie only option and split it that way.

Then I replace the movie files gotten in the split whole disc option with the ones that I just got for the split movie only option. My problem is now I dont have the "please insert next disk" screen. I know this is probably because the ifos arent pointing to that vob now because I changed the structure.

What can I do? Is there any way to choose the split point when I am splitting entire disc? Thats my main goal, so I dont have to go through two conversions? So confused.....

  4. To choose the split point at "Complete DVD" doesn't make so much sense !
DVDFab tries to make both discs the same size.
By design menus and extras must be on disc 1. So you don't have much
"space" to choose the split point by yourselfe !!

"Copy Complete DVD" does really need the change graphics.
If you don't like the given graphics you could make a "back screen" change graphic ?!?!
If it ain't the prompt it ain't shit

  5. Hi Mr toolbox,

I think you misunderstood my problem. What I am saying is that the split isnt very efficient under split full dvd. You should give the users a choice of where to split the movie. Sometimes it splits in the middle of audio and I like it to split on scene change.

I DO like the change graphic but I also want to choose where to split the disc. Now when I use 1.60 and do a full dvd split, it ends up using much less room on each disc, I would rather have a good split point and use up the room on the first disc.

I hope you make a new revision of DVDfab because it is a great program but it could use that functionality. I'll PM this to you too.

It is supposed to split at a chapter...if it's not please report it as it's a bug.

  7. Yes it does split at the chapter, but in many dvds the chapter splits are not in the scene changes this there is still audio in the background when the chapter changes. Thats why I wanted to take matters into my own hands and choose the split point. THe current version doesnt let you do that in split whole movie mode.
