Im looking into buying a DVDR Writer and am looking at either the pioneer a05 or 105.
would just like to know if there is any difference..the reason i ask this is that the a05 is 55$ more expensive then the 105.

The 105 is the OEM version of the A05 and is the same drive less any software bundle and factory warranty. I generally buy OEM hardware.

The drives themselves are identical. They are coded differently because one is a retail package with software, etc. while the other is OEM, aka just the drive. Great drive for the money, by the way. I've had mine for about 6 months now and love it.

thanks for your quick replys..so only dif is OEM vs Retail? i think i will go for the cheaper OEM vers then hehe :)
also another quick question...what is the best media to use with this drive and where is the best place to buy them (i live in canada)? -
I have used Ritek 4x DVD-R, TDK 2x, and CompUSA brand 1x media with my 105 with 100% results.
