Created DVD problems

hey, ive just managed to encode a svcd to a dvd mpeg2 complaint format with the correct sound and fps etc. i then autorhed it with ulead dvd factory and wen it finished i went to test on my ps2. Now i put the disc in waited for about 5 mins for the disc to appear in the browser. it then appeared and i clicked it and all that came up was a BLACK screen. Now i dont know why but its happened i tryed another dvd which i borrowed off my friend and his worked striaght away without going to the browser or nothing. Only problem was his played in black and white. The dvd i created is in dvd PAL format which i thought would play on my ps2 but all i got at the minute is a black screen. Have i done sumthing wrong during the process?
