I am trying to make an audio CD that also has a couple of videos on it. I want the music before the videos.

Everytime I try to burn them on my CD RW the videos come before the music no matter how I number or name them.

    I am using Nero.

Can the music trax be put first ?
What am I doing wrong ?

Sorry this question is also in 'off topic' posts

    Thanx

If you want both to be playable on settops (Audio CD players and VCD/DVD players), then it can't be done. Correct VCD-type CD's require track 1 to be ISO9660 Bridge, which requires the PVD (primary volume descriptor) to Start at Sector 16 of the 1st track of the 1st session. This would not be possible if you were to put audio trax first. The White Book VCD spec also says that CD Audio trax must come after all the other type trax.

If you're not worried about playing the video on a settop, you could always make a Multisession Enhanced CD, with the video files in a directory of the ISO9660 track of the 2nd session.
    -or-
If you're not worried about playing the audio on an "audio" settop, you could always compress your audio to mp2, multiplex it to mpg, and author it as a "audio-only" segment along with your videos in VCD 2.0 PBC-mode. Then, make the PBC script play the audio segments 1st. Or, you could do it similarly as a DVD.

Those are pretty much your only choices...

    Cornucopia,

    Thanx for the reply.

I want the CD to play on a hi-fi (standalone cd player) so it needs to show the audio trax first. Rather than having to 'fast forward' past a few 'unplayable' video files.

Then when it is put in a PC, the video trax can be played.

Quite like an enhanced audio CD I suppose ??

    Thanx for any further replies

Yeah, IIWY, I'd make an Enhanced Audio CD.

Unless it's changed real recently, Nero can do this type of disc. So could CDRWin and ECDC Deluxe.

    Good luck,
