actually i have never used a Mac before. only like in school when i was in second grade where the whole computer was well i dont know how to say it, but well they were very popular and they had the speakers at the bottom. and it was like the size of a monitor only. i have only used that one and a G3 when i was in 6th grade. and that was all way before i knew anything about computers. man i wish i had one right now but like a really really supped up PC. i would like to have the fastest mac availiable, and the fastest pc availiable both, just to see how fast they can be. what did you mean by try learning mac os x and then stop using it. what i understood, was that its soooo damn good you cant stop using it am i correct or not?

    Cecilio,
Here's a challenge. Write back more or less as I have rearranged your post. More or less paragraphs. I'm not correcting your spelling, because if I did, I'd have to correct everybody's, and they'd get pissed at me for that.

You want to start this training course, and you are going to HAVE to write a course syllabus that the students can understand.

I type my replies so well because I only use 2 fingers(sometimes 3), and take a hellacious amount of time. You, on the other hand, said that you type faster than you think. Please. Slow down. You're hard to follow, sometimes. I can tell you're not dumb. You seem as smart as my 14 year old grandson. I build his computers, but he runs rings around me at the keyboard. ("I didn't know you could do that!")

    TGPO,
Blatant commercialism!!! Trying to take over Windows World! The one thing no one can call you is cheap. Macs cost more than Win machine components, or machines, do.
Seriously, my youngest daughter, Marketing Director for our largest regional ISP, got a Mac for her ad work, and was tickled pink for about 2 months. It crashed left and right, and she went back to a Win machine. And, she learned on Macs in school. You know, Apples for the teacher.

    I don't mind a challenge

Actually I've never used a Mac before. Only in school (second grade) whereupon this type of computer was, well, I don't quite know how to say it, very popular; they had the speakers at the bottom.
It was only the size of a monitor.

Man I wish I had one right now but I like a really, really supped up PC.
I would like to have the fastest Mac and the fastest PC availiable (at the same time), just to compare how fast they are.
What did you mean by 'try learning Mac OS X and then stop using it'?
    Did I understand you correctly?
Was it that it's soooo damn good you cant stop using it?
    Am I correct?

No offence intended, just my input, there are more important things

    Will,
No offense taken. If you have been following the other thread, we are trying to get Cecilio to write as though he is creating his syllabus.
I would give you an A in your acceptance of the challenge, except for the "really SOUPED up" pc. Of course, souped up is an Americanism, so, I guess, I should forgive a small oversight.
Besides, this thread is more fun than the other. They're too serious and critical over there. They're pickin' on the kid just because of his age, as well as his diction.
Basically, I think most everyone here is too young to know what hardship is. You guys are all either Baby Boomers, or Baby Boomers kids, the one generation that will have it all better than their parents. This is good. Jeez, I hope MY kids never have the life I had to live, and I spend enough on them to try to ensure that they never do.
I know you'll try to do the same for your son, but you never know what the future holds. Good grief, I have to go through a bunch of mail and posts to remember his name. I'll find it, never fear.

Poop, even two fingers and I have to edit. What a dork!

    You're quite right.
I think I'm the first in my family to have a mortgage (although my mother did get one later on), we always lived in council/state house with low rent.
I'm truly grateful for the position I'm in now but that's the fundamental problem in society today...
...there are far too many people nowadays who feel the deserve the best without effort.
My sister is a good example who, being nothing like me, is about dear to my heart as you are, ie. we're complete stangers.
Her children however are a different matter.
I adore them and try see them as much as I can.
I worry the chance they have, living with a mother who's never worked, about to have her fifth child before she's 30 and whilst undoubtedly loves her children is not someone I would have responsible for my nieces and nephew's.
Yes, she keeps them safe and warm but the eldest, Lauren, 11, is a wonderful, happy, intelligent girl but gets no encouragement from her parents.
I fear for her future and find is kinda' sad that is all probability this beautiful angel would excel in life if only she had better parents.
    I do what I can.
Man, that must sound harsh coming from me, her brother, but hey, life ain't all smiles as you know
Just been reading about that 2 year old toddler shot dead in his pram in Turkey, caught in the middle of a dispute in a cafe.
Man, my son is a similar age.
    I can't begin to imagine.
Cherish what you have folks, you just don't know how long it's gonna last.
    (Sorry for the downer, truly)

It's a brand of rum that is brewed in North Queensland, Australia. It's pretty popular here in Australia and their advertisements are quite hilarious (normally targeting young males).
