  1. i was wondering if there is a way to copy dvd to dvdr with my panasonic e30?? i have tried hooking my sony,samsung,and xbox w/enigmah chip(this chip provides macro free recording from xbox to vhs but not xbox to dvd). i have heard that an apex 3201 with the remote code hack wil work but dont want to buy it and take my chance if it doesnt work, so please if there is any dvd player u know of please respond......thanx!!!!!!

    p.s. this panasonic recorder is a stand alone unit...not a computer dvd drive!!!!

    The E30 is a standalone DVD-RAM/R recorder so the method you provided won't work here.

    Gameon24,
    I hope you know (if you do, please disregard my post) that copying from DVD player to standalone DVD recorder won't give you a true 1:1 copy like you would with a PC DVD burner.

    Not only is it not a ONE TO ONE COPY
    ITS A RECORD of all the segent you watched from the original DVD..
    THAT IS, as Gil said, you cannot copy the disc.,
    but you can make a new disc that shows in linear sequence all the stuff you watched from the original in the order you watched it it..
    Again, If you wanted the extras, you'd have to click on the menu item , play it down, while the E30 records whatever is playing..at somewhat lower quality as well..but it could be just as good for some segments
    (not the movie unless you use the highest rate on your e30 and then the whole disc will never fit..youll need a part 1 and 2)
