    ATI ALL IN WONDER RADEON

Forget the TV Wonder. Forget the Aver.
Don't know much about the other one, but I'm willing to shoot it down blind.

I've got two Radeon cards, and they work great.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

  4. Like stated above, hauppauge wintv tuner card. Ati's drivers sometimes dont like Win xp. As well as if you do dual moitor support, ATI tv card software you cant drag picture from monitor to monitor.

That's not true. But it does depend on the ATI card you're using.

  6. I have a ATI AIW radeon the first AIW Radeon the tuner is not as good as the 8meg ATI AIW I had before some channel's do not come in that good. the old card's use a Philips TV tuner. If you want to record you might have that channel that does not come in good. i do not know about the new ATI AIW they might have better tuner's in them now. The ATI AIW is one of the best for backing up old VHS tape's to DVD or VCD but some old tape's I have tried to back up have some kind of NTSC problem that ATI AIW does not like to display right there is one fix use a world wide vcr and set it to pal and capture as pal. Also my Dazzle 2 has problem displaying this tape look's fine if I just watch it on TV. I saying this there are alot of problem with capture card not really that bad but you have to play a little with them. at www.pricewatch.com they have a ATI AIW for $50.00 dollars its also a capture card and you can also get a hauppauge later have the best of both world's. ATI AIW software also has filter's to remaster old VHS tape makes them look new. If you are going to capture VHS tape's get your self a Sima video copymaster for $50.00 dollars to remove copy protection from VHS tape's for backing up. Dazzle 2 is very good for captureing but does not have a tuner but great MPEG2 it has you can read more at www.dazzlegeek.com about the card its a fan site for the dazzle 2 to buy go to www.dazzle.com then go to http://www.shopharmony.com/ they have the best price on the DVC 2 also called the Dazzle 2. If you want a hauppauge get the PVR 250 or PVR 350. ATI , hauppauge, Dazzle make the best capture card's

  7. I've only heard bad things about Hauppage cards personally but there is a new card out which is made by ASUS that uses a new chip the 10bit conextant cx2388x chip I've heard this makes better videos but is not supported by alot of software yet, any more ideas are greatly appreciated

  8. My vote is for ATI AIW 7500(I have one and it works great)$130USD.If you already own a capturecard another option is to use a stereo VCR as your tuner and run it to composite/S-video in,VCR's usually provide a better picture than an onboard tuner and a VCR has a remote. You can get a new stereo VCR for $50.
