    Hi
I've seen adverts for software proclaiming to be able to burn DVD format to CDR, and be able to play on standalone DVD players.

    Is this possible???

And can anyone recommend any good software to do it.

All I'm looking to do is put 10/15 min clips of home movies to DVD format.
This is to enable me to check the quality on my DVD player and later on when I get a DVD burner I can transfer them to DVD.

    Any advice appreciated

    Cheers

Most those adverts are for dvd to vcd or svcd. You must make a minidvd/cdvd if you want dvd on cdr/w.

I made a miniDVD with Video Studio 6. I used the steps to make a DVD, but instead of inserting a DVD-(R)W, I put in a CD-R. Worked as asvertised, fifteen minutes of DVD video on a CD-R.
    Hello.

    Hi
Thanks for your input but it wouldn't work on my player

I'll have to stick to CVD on a CDR.

    Cheers
