  1. Without a dvd burner I mean? Im so sick of converting m2v files.

  3. because in order to have the files on a regular vcd i have to convert them to mpg

  5. m2v files are usually svcd mpeg 2 files...so as long as you have the mpeg2 codec installed (easiest way would be to install powerDVD/winDVD), then you can just change the file extension from .m2v to .mpg and it should play normally...even on win media player.

    you can use nero to directly burn these .m2v files onto a SVCD.

    if you want to burn the file as mpeg 1 VCD, then yes..you do have to re-encode them.... however, if you can burn the file as higher quality SVCD, then try that first, unless your dvd player doesn't support SVCDs
